Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend them for DD+ cup sizes as I think there are better options. They work better for people in smaller cups who don’t need much support. Also, I would not follow their size guide. It’s horribly inaccurate. If you haven’t already, I would recommend using the ABTF calculator to double check your size.
Hello my wonderful ABTF siblings! I just wanted to preface that ABTF is what brought me to Reddit, and that this is still my favorite subreddit! In the last year, I've educated a good chunk of my friends and partners about bras; they've actually become frightened at how passionate I am about them.Red marks are normal - don't be afraid of marks left by a bra after you take it off. These are totally normal for well-fitted bras! Sometimes a properly-fitting band can take some getting used to and will feel very tight at first, but over time can become comfortable. However, do what is right for your comfort. So, it turns out the reason I couldn't find a single Bra That Fits was because I'm Omega-shaped and high-set, in addition to being FOB and narrow-set. The incredible Breakout Bras employee Stephanie patiently read my novel-length emails and sent me tons of long emails in reply. Once I sent pictures in, she was able to determine the problem was ... I want to buy a 30C to see how it fits but pretty much all the bras on here for Shallow Breasts are not available in Canada.
I also wore a 34C before measuring as 30E (I'm down a cup size now due to weight loss, but same band). I didn't believe it at first and spent a bunch of time wearing too-loose 32DDs until I finally picked up a 30E. Perfect fit! Around Black Friday I ordered from Breakout Bras and got 2 Comexim plunges in BoB 26FF (my calculator size was 26E/24F). They both had a slightly loose band (I could put it on the tightest hook, but it was fine on the loosest - probably because I was coming from a 30 band), and they had gaping at the top of the cup.
The issue is that cup size scales up and down with back. It's not like a G cup is the same cup stuck on different band lengths. The whole design is scaled up and down as the sizes change. I suppose this happens eventually to everyone that learns what a properly fitted bra is more or less supposed to look like. Can't even enjoy an episode of Mad Men without staring at the horrifically fitted bikini. Even then, you cannot expect every bra in 40I US / 40G UK to be a perfect fit.
