If the air was lukewarm at all the vents, then it's entirely possible that the heater core away the problem. If, as you said, it was only the drivers side, then replacing the core didn't do a thing and the issue will likely return. There is one heater core.Yes it does ope at 206 and can to up to 236. I am about to order a cold on for my 2014 jeep wrangler unlimited. I know they say it could hurt performance, that is bull because mine runs lot better when it is cold. The temp gauge on your dash is just an implied temp, not an actual reading. Your EVIC should show actual coolant temps. But to answer your question; yes, the 3.6 runs hot. Apparently that is where it is most efficient and happy.

This is a common problem when doing any kind of cooling system work on a jeep. The JK is well known for being difficult to get all the air out of the system. Often times taking multiple attempts.
