Jan 5, 2008 · I recently purchased a mossberg 500A 12g/20" (8 shell) shotgun (model 50577). However, I am only able to load (4) 2 3/4" OO buckshells in the tube and (1) in the chamber for a total of 5 shells. When loading the 5th shell in the magazine tube, it will only go about 3/4 with moderate force.
