Like ghost_tails said, mountainous areas are also a fantastic place to look, go check along Eldin's Flank at the north end of Hyrule and all along Death Mountain. Flint is common everywhere so there really isn't one specific place to get it better than anywhere else, but if you don't want to Talus farm, that's about your only option.
