Fallout 4 beginning stuck.
Nov 30, 2017 · Hi all, yesterday I played fallout 4 without a hitch, no problems what-so-ever. Today, I went to play again while I waited on some updates to download. I came to realize that it would freeze whenever I would go fullscreen after opening its window. If I leave it alone and don't open its window it will often play one of the intro videos and on into the main menu when the music starts and shows ...
When that Vault Tech guy arrives at the door and I start allocating points to different skill attributes, it doesn't let me proceed to name my character. It appears that the little menu option that indicates which keys to press in order to move on are limited/cut off. I provided a screenshot of the problem. I think there could be an element of randomness about who responds and how. For me out of 4 tries, 1 worked. It seems that the only way to complete the quest is if Captain Wes confronts you directly.
