So creatures which have a spawn limit per map, like gigas, could spawn in the first area, then the player moves to area 2, and the gigas in area 1 are not taken into account by the game, meaning it could potentially spawn 3 or 4 more, because it doesn't see any currently existing on the 'map', and can't see the three it already spawned in area 1.
