Unknown member. #4 · Jan 21, 2013. headwork,bump the compression to 9.8-1 & install S&S .570 cams,easy 110+/115+ and "stock like" reliability.or bump the compression up to 10.5-1 and use S&S .585,woods 6H or a couple other grinds for more power with still good reliablity/dependability.

Very good bolt in for a 96", little undercammed for the 103" but produces great torque in every range and a wonderful cam for touring (with a little racing fun too). Very quiet and well mannered. No cam noise like some of the other cams out there. In my opinion and others, the 555 and the 777 underperform in the 103 configuration. I had Woods TW777, which worked well, but that being said, this configuration will be more stock as far as the engine is concerned. Meaning the pistons, heads, and whatnot will be stock.
