On November 12, 2019, the City of Venice welcomed Princess Buttercup. She is the Fairy representative for the newly formed Fairy Kingdom of Venezia that was created in Venice, Florida. The King and Queen sent her to the City Council to receive a proclamation of welcome. After several scouting trips, the fairies chose Venice for their new kingdom.
