Moonveil remains one of the better weapons in the game too. It's basically better than using actual spells 4 times out of 5. People saying it's been "nerfed to hell" are exaggerating. You will literally use its ash more than your will spells. It's still one of the best choices for an INT/DEX build. IMO this is going to be the neverending story. Players complain about a Katana, From nerfs that Katana just for the next one to get used more. Rinse and repeat. IMO, Katanas have always been blessed in the Souls games while other weapons have always struggled. 5. I use either meteorite staff which is OP or 2 rapiers and do way more damage way faster. The only reason to use a katana is unsheathe. And moonveil unsheathe is just better. This is really it right here combined with @Mr_Penguin_007 's post about scaling. Moonveil allows a player to focus minimally on anything other than intelligence and still have insane speed and damage output + ranged WA that still does great poise damage.
