This week we had a power outage which may or may not have anything to do with it. But after that the computer starting beeping and displaying a code DE followed by 60 flashing in the screen. The chlorination level went to 35% (we had it at 60%). This can be caused by clogged filters, a malfunctioning water flow valve, or a dirty cell. To troubleshoot this issue, start by inspecting and cleaning your filter system. Also check side the skimmer and main basket to see if they’re full. Check for noticeable leaks, too. If the water flow valve is malfunctioning, it may need to be replaced.Fill up the salt cell with distilled white vinegar and place the cell gently inside an empty bucket. Leave the vinegar to sit inside the cell for about 24 hours for effectiveness. Dispose of the vinegar in the cell and use the high-pressure nozzle to thoroughly rinse the cell. This should be done for a few minutes.
With that said- my jandy salt cell died after 6 years and I tried to maintain my pool with liquid chlorine last year and it was a shit show to say the least. Nevertheless, I pulled the DC cable from the cell and the center pin is loose and can almost be pulled right out. There is also a drop of water leaking out very slowly.
