I take an old pillow case wet it down with soapy water put the blades inside and wipe them down that way. Easiest way and do it every 3-6 months. If it's an overhead fan, tell them to put Pillow case over the fan blade to clean/catch the dust. Otherwise it just creates more cleaning jobs. I clean my fans every week.
