The domestic and international terminals are next to each other. One uses the same check in counters for both. Do your check in via Internet ti save time and lines.Ollantaytambo has much nicer views of the mountain. It's a narrow part of the valley. Urubamba is in a wider spot so you don't have the mountains rising right on the edge of the town quite to the same extent. And Ollantaytambo has the ruins right in town which enhance the view. Urubamba doesn't have that.

Like you said, you have to travel to the area in order to visit the local attractions. Everything is far from Lima. For example, a bus ride from Lima to Cusco is > 20 hours.

On October 21, 2021, for our next adventure, we booked a trip to Egypt through Exoticca. The trip is set to commence on October 4, 2022. We paid in full and did everything asked.
