Nothing there, and it seems to have stopped now. Thanks for the help though. one possibility is clutter, when there's not enough stockpile space so food items get left in the kitchen where they rot (food does not rot in stockpiles). the other possibility is slow/unskilled chef, who is taking too damn long cooking.
