Yes the H for sure had a low low gear option, still had the 5 speeds , but a low first gear , not sure on the rest of the ratios. If the # tag is still on the tractor have a look at the suffix after the main s/n, may end in X6,X6A,X6B,X6C. Could also end in other low gear suffixes if it has any other options, eg kerosene,high altitude engine etc.

The Super "M" has a stronger transmission [ stronger bull gears and axles], 10 hp more 264 cubic inch. The 43962DB was the standard .207" lift cam for the H. The 43962DC was .240" lift for the Super H. There was supposed to be a third cam 45956D with .270" lift, no idea what it would have fit. I had my .207 cam reground to the .240 spec.

May 25, 2008. #1. Done a tune up on the Farmall H as the boy mentioned that the points appeared to be set at .20 . This is a delco distributor. I still had a problem with the tractor on quick take off. Now I seen on this site that the super H was set at .20 and the next line shows that the H should be set at 13 thousand.
