If the engine is running poorly at 3/4 to full throttle, the main jet is the likely problem. It sounds like your crankcase ventilator is blocked. The alternator is in the crankcase and blow-by from the piston rings will pressurize the case if it can't vent. I don't know the 800 engine, but a blowup of the engine should show you where the vent is. Good luck.
