Chamberlain has a lot of issues. I'd say one of them is that they're controlled by nationals instead of being a locally governing school. It screws a lot of things over. I was also accepted to SUNY Upstate for their in person PMHNP program (I had to decline due to my husband getting last minute PCS orders), and to an online school. You have to find your own placements for clinicals which can be a challenge especially with all the nurses going back for NP school. It’s pretty expensive compared to most other NP programs as well. I would say 90% of all NP programs require students to find their own preceptors. That shouldn’t be the norm.
