Between the snowbanks seperating the lake and the highway itself and the houses, there's tons of defilade that predators WILL use to stalk and ambush you from. Coastal Highway has alot of food and some tools (Quonset Hut, fishing huts). But you might notice there aren't many rifle spawns. You might have difficulties with long-term survival.
