Dodge durango intermittent starting problem.
If your starter clicks, jump it first. Usually the problem will start with a low (possibly getting bad) battery. If that is no help, then have the alternator tested. If all that checks out then go to the starter. In the Durango (mine is an 03) it is not difficult to replace. 03 Durango (Grey) Gibson Cat Back.
The car ran great for many starts, then at lunch today it cranked for a moment then started and died. On subsequent start pushes it cranked for maybe 3sec and stopped. After doing an OFF/ACC/RUN cycle it started perfectly. Ran over to the Dodge dealer and they scanned the same B2122 code.Most of the time it will crank for about 20-30 seconds then start. Occasionally it will crank for half a second then shut off and when it does this it always starts right up as normal. We experience these starting issues frequently (every 3rd start +/-) but not any specific pattern.There are currently 9 problems areas reported by 2021 Dodge Durango in a total of 16 complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Aug 13, 2022 · Dec 2015 Dodge Durango SXT, 60K miles. The Car runs normally most of the time. But sometime it Cranks but does not turnover and start completely. Does not appear to be Alternator Problem, Starter Problem or Battery Problem (just 1 year old). Wait for 4-5 hours or a day and the vehicle starts again and runs around the town without any problem.

If it's been done, look for the relay that is externally wired and it should be forward of the box, just aft of the right headlight on the frame. Edit: NVM Im thinking of fuel pump relay, sorry. Like.
Intermittent won't run. My 2013 Citadel has developed a problem where it often won't run. Usually when cold. Typically will start after MANY attempts. Only symptom is it idles extremely rough, stalls if you give it throttle. When it eventually starts ok it's fine for a long while--until it sits & gets cold again.

I visit your forum and I must say it is great. Two years ago I fulfilled my dream and bought a new Durango RT AWD. From the very beginning the car has a problem with a warm start. When Durango tries to start with a warm engine after about 1.5 - 2 hours of standing, it does not want to start. The diagnostics do not show any fault.

Have you tried battery reset to see if taking all of the systems back to zero helps? Disconnect negative cable, depress brake pedal 30 seconds, then reconnect and see what happens.
Check all the connections between the starter and battery. You could also check voltage drop when you engage the starter, both at the battery and also on the starter motor lead.
