Keep in mind the stock tires are 34.5" in diameter. Going to a 35" doesn't accomplish much in terms of height. A 6" lift looks good with 37's, but not with 35's. Either way, 4" or 6" and 37's can't go wrong... also keep in mind, that a 6" lift starts to push you out of many home garages.

Understandable, putting 37s on anything requires a lot of custom fab and a nice big wallet. 35s on an xj with a proper setup suspension, lockers, and good driving can go VERY far, not saying that 37s have no use but ive wheeled in rigs on 35s locked f+r with a small cage and all the other goodies and we ran some of the toughest trails around here.
