Rogue Dedication for sneak Attack (you alreadybwant them flatfooted for your laughing shadow magus thing). Then get Captivator and get as many spells as you can. The magus is a martial character who has a small number of spells they can add on in clutch situations, not a spell blaster who can also use a sword sometimes. Remember: blasters in the way they existed in 1e simply aren't a thing in 2e.That is the biggest hurdle for this build imo. You won't be a full gunslinger, so won't have your way reload until later levels to help even out your action economy. And Magus in general is already pretty action starved. Starlit is less so than the melee centric ones, but spellstrike being 2 actions makes it tough to fit in reload actions. In this Build we will Multiclass Magus and the Dragon Disciple Prestige Class. Regongar can be great as a Magus single class only, however, 4 levels in Dragon Disciple gives him +2 to AC and +4 to STR, which is a pretty damn good boost to his Attributes. Rogues are stereotyped as a Dexterity class in both D&D 5e and Pathfinder 2e. However, the Ruffian rogue racket changes things. It gets access to medium armor, the ability to Sneak Attack with simple weapons, and the choice of Strength as its key ability score. I'm pretty new to Pathfinder 2e and I have some questions regarding a possible magus build I'm trying to create. I was planning on going Laughing Shadow and using a strength weapon, but I'm unsure about how much I should invest in DEX. I will most likely be the only one in the party on the frontlines, and I know that dumping DEX would mean I ...Feats. Eldritch Archer Dedication 6: This is a very strong Dedication feat, granting the Cast a Spell activity in the Tradition of your choice. Maybe ask your GM if you can do that, though—it'd cost multiple feats for a 40 foot ranged unarmed attack, that doesn't seem balance-breaking. 2. 1amlost.It's way harder to build game-breaking characters in 2e, also harder to make broken characters. Insanely fun, especially if you flavour things like Flying Kick as webbing to your foe, and then pulling yourself forward so they have a foot in their jaw. Given the builds above, you can create a good Magus with almost every race: anything with a boost to str, dex or int is a decent choice. Of course, small races should avoid the strength build. The races offer various bonuses for a favored class; however, as a frontliner with d8 hit dice, I recommend simply taking an extra hit point each level.
