Ram rotary shifter stuck in park.

I did learn that their software recall on rotary shifters, is a tranny lockout if you open the door just after putting the vehicle in Drive. Tranny suddenly goes back into Park so it doesn't run over you and kill you. They spoke of an actor that had this happen in a Dodge where he was pinned between his sedan and a gate.I have a 2019 heavy duty cummins 2500 with column shifter and the truck only has 600 miles on it and at least once a day the shifter gets stuck in park. I stopped at the bank's drive thru ATM today, put the vehicle in park, and completed my ATM transaction as the engine idled. When I shifted to Drive the indicator light flashed and the engine revved but the Durango didn't budge.

The software fix included in a recent RECALL added the door open to prohibit starting. My problems began after that "FIx". Check with the dealer for 2 possible fixes 1. Make the brake switch more sensitive or recheck the RECALL software fix. But ALWAYS push hard or the brake when shifting out of park.
