Jul 1, 2017. #7. I can't recall doing a Super but it should work. Just need to disconnect original ignition and put the coil in. May possibly need to run an extra wire but I dought it. It should be pretty straight forward. That's what I do on all 028's with ignition issues...it's such an easy fix and upgrade.

For a 028, I would not use anything longer than an 18 inch bar.This is my own opinion.With a 20 inch you will not only have a longer bar but a lack of oil. A longer bar requires a larger supply of oil. You are pushing it with anything over 18. Remember this saw is only 2.87 cubic inch. I have always used Stihl bars.
