Browning sweet 16 shotgun serial number.
I have a Browning Sweet 16, and for the life of me I can not figure out when it was made. The serial number is located on the bottom of the receiver 52502. Ok everything I found say it was made in 1927, but there's an OS stamp above the serial number and Sweet Sixteen is engraved on the left side of the receiver.
According to a chart I saw, it is a 1967 gun. The S is the Sweet 16 code and the 7 is the digit for the year of manufacture. This works for guns made between 1958-1967.
