I have visited Lake Shawnee many times for 5K's. Thought it would be a great place for a long camping weekend. I was not wrong. The camp sites are equipped with a security gate, quiet hours, a great view of the lake, electric/water hookups, swimming beach & easy access for fishing/kayaking.
