Get either a pistol or rifle with a large magazine (LeMat revolver, Henry repeater, or Evans repeater). Waste your ammo until you're down to your last reload. Then go to the bar at Thieves Landing, get in cover behind the bar and start disarming guys. You can use deadeye because you aren't able to reload with the ammo you have.
I am unable to complete Sharpshooter 2 challenge on PC. Sharpshooter 2 requires the character to kill 2 species of animal while in dead eye. I use hanging dog ranch for the horseman and other sharpshooter challenges because I mainly die after completing the challenges so the enemies reset. For this one, there is a random O’Driscoll camp in the Heartlands, next to the Twin Stack Pass closest to Valentine. I go ok top of the stack, aim and throw, challenge done.I know most people are past this challenge or aren't playing RDR2 anymore , but for those that are, I can confirm that the Valentine-train station method works. I got up on the little hill across from the tracks and station (at day), used the semi-auto shotgun and got three peoples hats off in 1 deadeye.

You apparantley can't use deadeye because it automatically reloads your gun so the video said to go to strawberry, start a fight with a guard and when he pull his gun, shoot and aim for his arm, run until the red dots go away, go back and shoot the same guy 2 more times.

I've read you can hogtie someone at camp (Lenny or Hosea I'm guessing) to get a long scope rifle but I don't see them there (Hosea is at Emerald Ranch and I haven't noticed Lenny), but apparently if you get a fishing rod early you still can't do survivalist 1, and I've tried catching blue gill via shooting them but that didn't count.
