The easiest method I found is to buy a USB drive having both type c and type 2 ports, format it to exFAT and copy the games to it from pc and install from within tinfoil. The updating and DLC notices are the only thing I care about with shops. It's easy enough to locate files, it's more of a pain to keep track of what game updated or had some DLC release without actively seeking out the info. ok thanks. i have managed to install a few games now via a combination of a rather convoluted way of downloading the game to my pc + tinfoil. but it does remain a massive mystery how there are images plastered all over the net for the tin foil GUI with lots of games on there. personally I struggled to get that to work.

I think it's because my switch got banned. I used to use Tinfoil while being banned and it was fine. But I think after the latest update it doesn't allow me to download games. It keeps saying, "Checking software to see if we can install" or something like that.Tinfoil by default will reject anything that doesnt have a proper signature, so if you get an unsigned notice dont install it.
